Welcome to China Town Chinese Restaurant, a delightful haven for Chinese cuisine enthusiasts located at 1614 Barnum Ave, Bridgeport, CT. As a food reviewer for Menustic, I am excited to introduce you to a restaurant that embodies the rich flavors and comforting aromas of Chinese culinary traditions.
At China Town, the menu is packed with a variety of dishes, with a special focus on their hearty soups. Whether you opt for the Wonton Soup, featuring perfectly enveloped wontons in a scallion-infused chicken broth, or the creamy Egg Drop Soup, you are in for a warm and satisfying experience.
The star of the show, however, may very well be the Mai Fun selections. The large Vegetable Chow Mai Fun is a colorful medley of skinny mei fun noodles stir-fried with fresh vegetables, all harmonizing to create a delightful burst of flavor. Priced at just $6.95, it’s not only delicious but also affordable. For those who prefer a meatier option, the Pork Chow Mai Fun offers a similar flavor profile with an added richness at $7.65.
Customer feedback paints a promising picture of China Town. One satisfied diner, Jay Swayy_, raves about the restaurant’s consistently tasty dishes at remarkably reasonable prices, rating it a stellar 10/10. However, it’s worth noting that another patron, Jesse Owen, pointed out some inconsistencies in the preparation of General Tso's Chicken, which suggests that while the food can be phenomenal, there is room for improvement in consistency.
Overall, China Town Chinese Restaurant not only boasts a gratifying array of dishes but also captures the essence of great Chinese dining—both in taste and experience. Whether you’re a local looking for your next favorite spot or a first-time visitor, you won't be disappointed. Grab a side of Fried Noodles or some Fortune Cookies to complete your meal, which are available for just $1.00 for five. Come visit, and let the flavors of China Town leave a lasting impression on your palate.

General Taos chicken was different twice. One time is had peppers and spices next time it didn’t. You should be more consistent
